One more ride before a week off

I have a business trip coming up so I wanted to get one more ride in before I have almost a week off my bike.  I didn't go as far as I wanted to but I felt as if I didn't eat enough today to give me the energy to do a really long distance.  Plus it was hot and muggy out.  
Okay these sound like excuses, but I will need to get beyond this if I am going to effectively train for this bike ride.  
So I have learned today that if I am going to do a longer distance, I need to prepare for it by eating correctly and being physically ready to go.


  1. Yea not eating enough is usually my problem on a daily basis with everything I do. So it doesn't sound like an excuse to me, it sounds like reality. Do you drink protein shakes after rides? Max Chocolate Whey protein from GNC is really good, esp when blended with peanut butter and banana and milk. yum!

  3. I'm going to try biking because a) I need a hobby, and b) I have no life.
    Anyways, so far I have bought a helmet and watched my dad put air in the tires. Baby steps, just like research!
